Day

Vertical gain: 1300m

Climbing time: 5/6h

Meeting point: meeting point in Cervinia at the start of the lifts for material check and short briefing.

Ascent with the lifts to Plain Maison, arrival at the Duca degli Abruzzi refuge at Oriondè (2802); from here a sometimes steep detrital terrain and finally some fixed ropes lead to the Carrel hut (3835) where you spend the night.

Day

Vertical gain: 650 m
Climbing time: 12 / 15h

Departure around 4.30 in the morning, on a ridge with aerial and difficult passages with the help of fixed ropes, we reach the top of the Matterhorn (4478). Retracing the uphill route you return to the valley.
