The normal route is a long ascent that from the Quintino Sella Refuge 2640 m leads with a tortuous path to the peaks of Monviso 3841 m.
Vertical gain: 630 m
Climbing time: 2,5 h
Meeting point: meeting at the Pian del Re car park, material check, short briefing and departure.
From the car park, head towards the source of the Po, on a beautiful path between meadows, lakes and moraines, in the direction of Lake Fiorenza (2,120 m). Passing under the imposing north face of Monviso, continue halfway up the coast and with steep hairpin bends, up to Colle di Viso (2,650 m) and from there to the Sella Refuge (2,640 m).
Dinner and overnight in the refuge.

Departure before dawn from the refuge. Go up to the Sagnette pass (2991 m) on a steep path and continue on stony ground up to the Andreotti bivouac (3225 m) where the mountaineering part of the climb begins.
Walking sections alternated with short and easy rocky outcrops to climb up to the summit.
The descent takes place along the same itinerary.
